PURPOSE: An image recognition processing system is provided to complement the locations of the buildings acquired by GPS information with distances between buildings, thereby yielding a greater accuracy of the location of the buildings on a digital map. CONSTITUTION: A numerical information DB(A) stores numerical information about the buildings. A drawn image information DB(B) stores the drawn image information of the ground and buildings for map drawing. An image processing module(C) processes the composition of the numerical information and the drawn image information into a digital map. An input/output module(D) outputs the digital map transmitted from the image processing module. A distance measuring module(H) is installed on one place in each building for measuring the distance in between. A data processing module(G) collects the distance information transmitted from the distance measuring module and the GPS information on the neighboring buildings.
