A flow deflector (3) is arranged in a waste water channel (1) or in pressurized waste water conduit. The flow of the waste water in the waste water channel or in pressurized waste water conduit is lowered so that waste water free of suspended solid materials from waste water channel or from pressurized waste water conduit over inlet is supplied to heat exchanger (10). The waste water after flowing through the heat exchanger is cooled down and fed back to the waste water channel. An independent claim is included for device for generating thermal energy from waste water flowing in waste water channels and pressurized waste water conduits. |
