In a concentrator system which is functionally similar to that disclosed in Specification 877,246, the subscribers' lines and exchange trunks are interconnected by a two-stage crossbar network 11 in which the column and row magnets are controlled by marking circuits 12, 14. The identities of the line and trunk to be interconnected are recorded in registers 23, 26 in binary form and are transferred in a selfchecking 3-out-of-6 code by way of gates 45, 46 to operate relays in the marking circuits 12, 14. A programmer 40 controls the sequence of operations for an originating call, for a terminating call and for effecting disconnection. Apart from the cross-bar network and the circuits directly associated therewith all the equipment is electronic. |
