The fluid-operated rotary drive device has a drive housing (2), in which a linearly displaceable drive unit is arranged by a controlled fluid pressurization. The drive unit has a rack-type drive gear. The carrier flange (56) has an anchoring groove (77) at its peripheral outer circumference (76), where the anchoring groove extends around a rotational axis (45) of another drive unit (38) with circular arc-shaped longitudinal extension and the anchoring groove is open radially outwards.
