PURPOSE: A depression preventing system using an intelligent mobile communication terminal and a depression preventing method thereof are provided to supply a refreshment service and an emotional communication service to a service user by measuring an accurate depression index using a depression-related program installed in the mobile communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: A service registration unit(21) accesses a service server by controlling a transceiving unit(10) to install a depression prevention application in a mobile communication terminal(1) and requests a user-related service to a communication provider. A depression index measurement unit(22) calculates a depression index of a user. An emotion-responsive service unit(23) compares a predetermined threshold value with a final depression index to provide an optimal service to the user when management is required.
