PURPOSE: A thorium-doped garnet-based phosphor is provided to remarkably improve high temperature stability and light emitting performance. CONSTITUTION: A garnet-based phosphor is thorium-doped by an activator which is indicated in chemical formula 1: (L_(1-x-y)Th_xM_y)_3N_5O_12. In chemical formula 1, 0<x<1; 0<=y<1; x+y<1; L is one or more selected from Y, Gd, Lu, Sc, La, Bi, Ir, and Sb; M is selected from Pr, Tb, Sm, Se, U, Li, and Na; and N is selected from Al, Ga, and In. A mixed phosphor comprises the garnet-based phosphor and two or more compounds selected from (CaSr)AlSiN3, SrGaS4, CaS, α-SiAlON, β-SiAlON, (SrBaCa)2Si1O4, (SrBaCa)1Si2O2N2, (CaSr)2Si5N8, and La3Si6N11. |
