A pin positioning jig and a pin mounting apparatus comprising a jig main body (100) which engages with a work, with a pin accommodated within a pin accommodating hole (102) in order to have the pin aligned with an insertion hole of the work, and a restricting mechanism (110) which is provided above a main body of the jig to restrict the rotation of the pin for determining an orientation of the pin at a given angular position around an axis line of the pin. According to the apparatus, when the pin is to be mounted to the insertion hole of the work, with its orientation at the given angular position, the pin positioning jig engages with the work with the pin being accommodated within the main body of the jig as well as being restricted in its rotation by the restricting mechanism. Accordingly, the pin may be mounted to the insertion hole of the work highly accurately, after the pin is aligned with the insertion hole of the work and oriented to the given angular position relative to the insertion hole of the work. Furthermore, when the pin positioning jig accommodating the pin is hand carried, displacement of the pin may be prevented by positioning the pin by the restricting mechanism (110). |
