<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor/generator drive system that improves controllability of a motor/generator more than ever, and a control device for the same. <P>SOLUTION: An inverter device 300 controls power inputted/outputted into/from a motor/generator 200. A mode-state amount table stores data for determining a reference parameter required for acquisition of switching pattern data to generate a switching command. When controlling switching-operation of a switching semiconductor device of the inverter device on the basis of the switching command, the mode-state amount table is individually set for each operational mode of the motor/generator 200.
