A device connecting a duct B to a vessel (not shown, but situated below the device in Fig. 1) comprises a casing 6 engaged with the receptacle, a valve comprising a rotary plug 16 disposed in a bore 8 in the casing and adapted to receive the duet B extending therethrough, a sealing element 22 disposed upstream of the plug and co-operating with the duct B, and a further duct 26 for connecting the bore 8 of the casing with a vacuum source, the duct having a closure means 28, the duct extending into the bore 8 between the plug and the sealing element 22. The easing is also provided with a duct 30 leading to a manometer 31 and, through an adjustable non-return valve 40, to an outlet 34. The passage in the plug 16 is provided with a resilient locking member 24 which is forced by the duct B into a recess in the casing 6 to prevent rotation of the plug while the duct B is therein.</p> |
