PURPOSE: A melting furnace having a clean box is provided to improve the cleanness of molten metal by minimizing byproducts being stirred and floated, thereby obtaining a metal plate with high quality. CONSTITUTION: A melting furnace comprises a crucible(20), a raw material feeding unit(44), and a clean box(50). The clean box has a plurality of holes(H) on the lower side thereof to make first size ingot into second size ingot that flows into the crucible. The clean box is installed so that the plurality of holes submerged in the molten metal in the crucible. |
