摘要 PURPOSE: A battery charging system and a charging method using the same are provided to utilize an AC/DC converter, thereby enhancing power transmission efficiency in comparison with a method using an AD/DC conversion. CONSTITUTION: A battery charging system comprises a converter(110), a first connector(120), a first connecting unit(120), a second connecting unit(130), and a control unit(150). The first connecting unit is connected to both ends of a battery of a power supplying vehicle supplying power for charging the battery. The second connecting unit is connected to both ends of the battery of a charging target vehicle. The converter is connected between the first and second connecting units, converts a voltage transmitted from the power supplying vehicle through the first connecting unit, thereby transmitting the same to the battery of the charging target vehicle. The control unit controls an electrical connection of the first and second connecting units and respectively connects to each BMS(Battery Management System) of the power supplying vehicle and the charging target vehicle. The control unit controls a voltage converting ratio of the converter based on the state information of each battery transmitted from each BMS.
