PURPOSE: An artificial plant island for water treatment for treating an eutrophication inducer and preventing water bloom is provided to easily adhere and breed microorganisms using a polyethylene net, to promote growth of hydrophyte using a medium for planting hydrophyte. CONSTITUTION: An artificial plat island comprises: a medium(10) for planting hydrophyte; a buoyancy body(20) which is formed at the lower portion of the medium; a polyethylene net(30) which surrounds the medium, the buoyancy body, and the root of the hydrophyte; and the hydrophyte(40) which is planted through a slope protection with vegetation. The medium for planting hydrophyte is prepared by pressing and molding a mixture containing 70-85 wt% of coir, 2-10 wt% of perlite of pH 5.9-6.3; 2-10 wt% of chaff, and 2-10 wt% of cocopeat. The buoyancy is a porosity polystyrene plate with a thickness of 10-30 mm.
