The invention relates to a cutting device for an underwater excavation system, wherein the cutting device comprises, a cutting tooth moveably arranged with the cutting device, and provided with a cutting edge for the exertion of a cutting force on a layer to be treated, a water jet device for providing a water jet at the cutting edge for facilitating the treatment of the layer, wherein the water jet device comprises an accommodation for holding water under pressure therein, and wherein the cutting force actuates the pressure in the accommodation for displacing water from the accommodation for providing the water jet, and wherein the cutting device comprises; - a tooth holder for holding the cutting tooth in a replaceable manner, wherein the cutting tooth is moveably coupled with the cutting tooth holder for advancing the cutting tooth in the accommodation while exerting a cutting force, for displacing water from the accommodation for providing the water jet. |
