PURPOSE: A burr removing device and a method thereof are provided to prevent a decrease in productivity due to the stop of processes as malfunction due to the formation of burrs or a drop of the burrs is prevented. CONSTITUTION: A burr removing device comprises a protecting plate and a vibrating unit(430). The protecting plate is arranged in a transferring passage formed along the transferring direction of a slab. The vibrating unit is connected to the protecting plate in order to vibrate the protecting plate. The transferring passage is arranged in a position where the slab is cut and formed to be movable forward and backward in the transferring direction of the slab.
