PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to detect overheating situation in advance, and to conduct anticipatory action by detecting abnormal situation in advance, thereby preventing safety accidents like fire or explosion. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery(100) comprises: a cell assembly(130) in which an opposite polar electrode lead is electrically connected; a battery external material(140) packing the cell assembly to expose a part of the electrode lead to outside; and a temperature-measuring pad attached to at least one of the electrode leads(110,120). The resistance of the temperature-measuring pad is higher than the resistance of the electrode leads. Between the electrode leads and the temperature-measuring pad, a heat-insulating layer is inserted. |
