PURPOSE: An adapter including a high speed storage device is provided to play a role as a cache for improving the performance of an expanded storage device by connecting a host with the expanded storage device. CONSTITUTION: A PCB(Printed Circuit Board) has a front side and a rear side facing each other. A high speed storage device(110) is included in the front side of the PCB and includes non-volatile memory devices and a controller for the non-volatile memory devices. A host interface(120) is included in the rear side of the PCB and interfaces the high speed storage device with a host. A device interface(130) is included in the rear side of the PCB and interfaces the high speed storage device with an expanded storage device(300). The non-volatile memory devices include a cache area storing data requested by the host and a main area storing the data received from the host.
