PURPOSE: A location-based network access system and a method thereof are provided to automatically access a corresponding network by using an authentication method suitable for a searched network. CONSTITUTION: A network service information server(104) provides accessible network information according to a location. A network access terminal(102) selects an accessible network at a current location based on the current location and the accessible network information received from the network service information server. The network access terminal performs the authentication of the selected network by using pre-stored authentication information. The accessible network information includes identification information of each accessible network, an accessible location of each network, and authentication method information.
