PURPOSE: A ceiling material for a vehicle and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce impact energy, to absorb noises, and to reduce a thermal shrinkage by using a polyolefin foaming sheet as a core. CONSTITUTION: A ceiling material(100) for a vehicle is composed of a core layer(110) and a sheet layer(120). The core layer is composed of a polyolefin foaming sheet by mixing additives with a polyolefin group resin. The sheet layer is boned to the core layer and includes wood powder, a natural fiber, and a polypropylene resin. The additive includes one or more of linear low density polyethylene, high density polyethylene, EPDM, and EPM. The polyolefin foaming sheet is formed with a cross or non-cross shape.
