PURPOSE: An image display method and an electronic device thereof are provided to switch an image mode while reducing the fatigue of a user and to change a stereoscopic perception. CONSTITUTION: A control unit displays a screen in a first image mode(S110). The first image mode is possible to be a plane image mode or a stereoscopic image mode because the first image mode refers to the image mode before the conversion of a mode. A virtual image is displayed on a screen in order to reduce the difference of a stereoscopic perception. The virtual image is able to be displayed by including various contents related to an image mode conversion(S120). The control unit displays the stereoscopic perception of the virtual image in the screen by gradually changing(S130). In case a virtual image is generated in the screen, a user generally focuses on the virtual image. Therefore, a user is able to adapt to the stereoscopic perception of a second image mode according to gradually changing the stereoscopic perception of the virtual image which the user focuses on. The control unit displays a screen in a second image mode(S140). At this time, the virtual image is able to be deleted before or after the screen is displayed in the second image mode.
