PURPOSE: A method for providing and transmitting content based on a receiving terminal and a content transmitting server thereof are provided to supply a document and content related to the document based on the receiving terminal, thereby reducing network expenses which are caused by increasing data traffic. CONSTITUTION: A transmitting terminal(101) writes and transmits a document. A receiving terminal(103) determines a topic by receiving the document from a communication device(102) or the transmitting terminal. The receiving terminal transmits the topic to a content transmission server(104) by extracting the topic from a topic reference. The content transmission server transmits one or more content corresponding to the extracted topic to the receiving terminal.
