<p>The method comprises forming a mold having a single-piece structure that defines a mold cavity to receive a glass article (20) equipped with a handle (28) and comprises a crossing passage emerging in the mold cavity, depositing a drop of molten glass on a bottom of the mold, introducing a forming unit into the passage, pressing the drop of molten glass in the mold cavity to form the article and the handle, removing the forming unit, cooling the glass to maintain a shape of molded article, and unmolding the molded article. The glass passes through the forming unit to form the handle. The method comprises forming a mold having a single-piece structure that defines a mold cavity to receive a glass article (20) equipped with a handle (28) and comprises a crossing passage emerging in the mold cavity, depositing a drop of molten glass on a bottom of the mold, introducing a forming unit into the passage, pressing the drop of molten glass in the mold cavity to form the article and the handle, removing the forming unit, cooling the glass to maintain a shape of molded article, and unmolding the molded article. The glass passes through the forming unit to form the handle. The introduction of the forming unit into the passage is carried out under a controlled temperature condition.
