The method involves producing a set of three-dimensional metal structures (350) by welding or gluing a metal foil (310) or a metal wire on a set of V- or U-shaped metal fasteners (301'), where each of the metal structures forms a portion of a preform of a solid metal part i.e. metal reinforcement, to be manufactured. The metal structures are placed in a form tool. Hot isostatic pressing of the metal structures is performed for causing agglomeration of the metal structures to obtain the solid part.
