PURPOSE: An electricity producing system is provided to produce electricity based on the rotating force of a gear device. CONSTITUTION: An electricity producing system comprises a gear transmission(110), a generator(120), and a battery(130). The gear transmission is connected to a rotary shaft(111) of a gear device(18) ascending or descending an anchor(40) of a ship or an offshore structure and shifts rotating force transferred from the rotary shaft of the gear device. The generator is connected to a rotary shaft of the gear transmission and produces electricity by using the shifted rotating force. The battery is electrically connected to the generator and is charged by the produced electricity. The battery supplied the charged electricity to a motor(14) to rotate the gear device, thereby ascending the anchor.
