A spider for assuring that the legs of a tripod do not slip comprises three strips 10, 12, 14 of fabric, webbing or synthetic plastics material extending from a triangular connecting member 18 and having eyelets 16 through which the ends of the tripod legs pass. Each strip also has a recessed plate 24 adapted to receive the toepiece 28 of the tripod leg. The plate 24 can be made to co-operate with any one of the eyelets 16 by folding the strip. The plate 24 may have a springy extension adapted to snap into an eyelet. |
