PURPOSE: A light emitting device, a light emitting device package, a light unit, and a method for fabricating the light emitting device are provided to improve luminous efficiency by using a current blocking layer. CONSTITUTION: A first light emitting structure(10) comprises a semiconductor layer(11) of a first conductivity type, a first active layer(12), and a second semiconductor layer(13) of a second conductivity type. A first current blocking layer(18) is formed between a first light emitting structure and a first ohmic contact layer. A second current blocking layer(28) is formed between a second light emitting structure and a second ohmic contact layer.
