The tool (100) comprises a turntable (110) having an opening for receiving a base (330b) of a metal part (330), where dimensions of the turntable are defined to present a material circumference around the opening to form a bearing surface (111) for recharging the metal part using a metal inert gas (MIG) method. The turntable is formed by two half-plates. Each of the two half-plates comprises a recess to form a part of the opening. The turntable cooperates with a supporting unit to maintain in a turntable position compared to the metal part to be recharged.
