PURPOSE: A composition containing 3-methyl adenine is provided to block and synchronize meiosis of oocytes at GV stage. CONSTITUTION: A composition for suppressing meiosis of oocytes contains 3-methyl adenine as an active ingredient. The oocytes are immature oocytes. A composition for synchronizing meiosis of oocytes contains 3-methyl adenine as an active ingredient. A method for suppressing and synchronizing meiosis of oocytes comprises a step of treating 3-methyl adenine to immature pig oocytes for 20-42 hours. A contraceptive pill contains 3-methyl adenine as an active ingredient.
