The strut (1) has a cooler (21) arranged at a neighbor of a strut leading edge (12) and heated by hot fluid e.g. gear box lubrication oil, where the hot fluid is cooled by heat exchange with cold air exterior to the cooler. An evacuation duct (22) is provided at an exit of the cooler to evacuate air, and extends longitudinally in an internal volume of the strut towards a strut trailing edge. The cooler comprises a surface cooling unit (211) arranged at a level of an external wall (141) of a longitudinal panel (14) of the strut.
