PURPOSE: A location based information transmission device and method are provided to supply an interface which inputs additional message data to map data based on location information, thereby transmitting the map data and the message data at the same time. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(10) outputs location based map data. The display unit provides an interface for receiving a command of a user. A control unit(20) generates the location based map data. The control unit provides an editing function for adding message data to the map data.
