A water treatment apparatus (1) is provided with: a retainer unit (8) which retains treated water that has been produced in a treated water production unit (40); a pump (9) that applies a pressure to the treated water; and an electrolytic cell (10) that comprises at least a pair of a negative electrode (10b) and a positive electrode (10d) and that produces electrolyzed water. The pump (9) and the electrolytic cell (10) are arranged in the downstream of the retainer unit (8).
