The channel (16) has passage limiting boundary walls (32) whose portions are formed in a lining element (28) of a liner (12) of a rail vehicle and/or a component (20) of a vehicle body (10). A portion of the channel is extended in a cavity (18) that is formed between the liner and the vehicle body. The boundary walls are formed by a sealing element (34) and/or an insulating element (24) i.e. insulation carpet, which are fixed at the liner and/or the vehicle body. The component is formed as a shell element of a shell structure of the vehicle body. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an air guiding channel.
