PURPOSE: A piston manufacturing method is provided to make a light piston by having a hollow part in one end of a base member, and to minimize deformation by welding portions at a minimum when sealing the other end of the base member, thereby maintaining the stable elasticity of the piston. CONSTITUTION: A piston manufacturing method includes the following steps: A base member having a hollow part, where a head part is installed in one end and a boss is formed at the center of the other end, is prepared. The head part of the base member is processed as a circular ball shape. In order to make the other end of the base member be in contact with the end of the boss, the other end of the base member is bent inward. The other end of the base member and the end of the boss are welded and coupled to each other in order to seal the other end of the base member.
