PURPOSE: A material conveying apparatus and an operation control method thereof are provided to suck a material using a magnetic force without a vision system, thereby ensuring simple control. CONSTITUTION: A material conveying apparatus comprises an operating part(100) having a multi-axis motion, a magnetic gripper(200) which is coupled to a hand unit(110) of the operating part and comprises an electromagnet for sucking a material(20) to be discharged from a pallet(10), a contact confirming part(300) which confirms the contact between the magnetic gripper and the material, and a control part(400) which implements operation control of the operating part based on information obtained by the contact confirming part and control of current application to the magnetic gripper. |
