<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide binding molecules capable of binding to rat, cynomolgus monkey and human LINGO polypeptide, a polynucleotide encoding such binding molecule; an expression vector comprising the polynucleotide; an expression system comprising a polynucleotide capable of producing a binding molecule; an isolated host cell comprising the expression system as defined above; use of such binding molecule as a pharmaceutical, especially in treatment to promote axonal regeneration/plasticity; a pharmaceutical composition comprising the binding molecule; and a method of treatment of diseases associated with axonal degeneration and demyelination. <P>SOLUTION: The binding molecule to a particular region or epitope of LINGO-1 is provided. The binding molecule binds to the mature ectodomain (residues 34-550) of rat LINGO-1, cynomolgus monkey LINGO-1 and human LINGO-1 with a dissociation constant (K<SB POS="POST">D</SB>)<1,000 nM, more preferably with the K<SB POS="POST">D</SB><100 nM, most preferably with the K<SB POS="POST">D</SB><10 nM. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
