<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recycling method and apparatus for recycling sewage sludge, capable of generating a solid fuel with high heating value by an inexpensive facility. <P>SOLUTION: The recycling apparatus 1 for sewage sludge includes: a dehydrator 4 for dehydrating sewage sludge W1 to generate dehydrated sludge W1a with a moisture content of about 40%; a mixing agitator 5 for mixing a preliminarily prepared thinning chip W2 to the dehydrated sludge W1a followed by agitating to generate a moistened mixture W3 with a moisture content of about 25%; a low-temperature carbonization furnace 6 for heating the moistened mixture W3 in a sealed heating atmosphere having a temperature ranging from 180°C to 300°C to generate a smoked chaff-like solid fuel W4; and a compression molding machine 7 for compression-molding the smoked chaff-like solid fuel W4 to generate a solid fuel pellet W5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
