<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that uses a fixing belt and a fixing roller having a solid elastic body for improving image quality, while preventing the fixing belt from being separated in a nip exit part as well as preventing damage or abnormal noise from being generated in the fixing belt. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing belt 2 is stretched on a fixing roller 1 and a heating roller 3. A pressure roller 4 is brought into pressure contact with the fixing roller 1 across the fixing belt 2 to form a nip part N. The fixing roller 1 includes a solid elastic body 1b formed on the outermost layer. On the downstream in the sheet conveyance direction of the nip part N, a slide support member 10 for supporting the inner surface of the fixing belt 2 is disposed between the fixing roller 1 and the fixing belt 2. The area, other than the nip part, where the back surface of the fixing belt 2 is in contact with the surface layer of the fixing roller 1, is set at 20 degrees in terms of circumferential angle of the fixing roller 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
