<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bind a document precisely and easily without requiring skill. <P>SOLUTION: This document binding assistance device 1A for executing stapling or perforating work precisely at a predetermined position in binding a document includes a document mounting base 10 in which a wall body 15 is erected at the outer periphery side of a plate material 7 forming a mounting surface 100 having a size which is the same to that of predetermined paper and the document 200 is supported in a state of being arranged in order at the inner periphery side thereof, a support supporting the document mounting base 10 at a predetermined height, and guide notches 17a, 17b, 17c, 17d, 17e, 20a, 20b that are obtained by cutting the wall body 15 and the plate material 7 from the outer periphery side of the document mounting base 10 and guide a stapler 5 or a perforating punch 6 to a predetermined position of the document.
