<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoretic dispersion liquid capable of preventing aggregation of electrophoretic particles, and to provide an electrophoretic display device using the electrophoretic dispersion liquid and a method for manufacturing the device, and an electronic apparatus excellent in display performance. <P>SOLUTION: An electrophoretic display device (electrophoretic display unit) 20 includes a first substrate 1 having a first electrode 3, a second substrate 2 having a second electrode 4 opposing to the first electrode 3, and an electrophoretic dispersion liquid 10 disposed between the first substrate 1 and the second substrate 2. The electrophoretic dispersion liquid (dispersion liquid for the electrophoretic display unit) 10 comprises an insulating liquid phase dispersion medium 6 and electrophoretic particles dispersed therein, which are electrically migrated by an effect of an electric field. The display device includes, as the electrophoretic particles, inorganic particles 5a and resin particles 5b colored in a different color from that of the inorganic particles 5a and having electrostatic charge polarity opposite to that of the inorganic particles 5a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
