<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particle-size measuring instrument capable of preventing the occurrence of an electrochemical reaction during measurement. <P>SOLUTION: A particle-size measuring instrument 10 comprises: a detector 51 for detecting the intensity of diffracted light due to the diffracted light produced by irradiating a sample with a measuring light; an applied voltage control part 31 for producing a change in the diffracted light by stopping the applied voltage to produce diffusion in the particle group to be measured within a medium; and a particle size calculation part 35 for calculating the particle size of the particle group to be measured on the basis of the change with time in the intensity of the diffracted light from the intensity of the diffracted light at the diffusion start time when the applied voltage is stopped. The measuring instrument 10 comprises: a current value measuring part 8 for measuring a current value flowing through an electrode 2; a storage part 40 for storing a current threshold value and a time threshold value for determining whether a Faraday current flows through the sample; and a determination part 34 for determining that a Faraday current flows through the sample when a current value equal to or greater than the current threshold value flows exceeding the time threshold value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
