The mechanism (11) has a drive carriage (12) sliding into lateral guide rails (8, 9), which adjusts a carrier part (14) by an adjusting lever (13). The carrier part is designed as a carrier of a front roof part (2). The adjusting lever is guided into lateral guide rails in a lengthwise-sliding manner and connected with the drive carriage over a link guide. The front roof part comprises convertible top cover fabric. The carrier part is guided at a structure-fixed link part (15) over the link guide. A guide link (18) is attached to the structure-fixed link part.
