A tablet PC applying virtual frames, which realizes virtual frame functions in an embedded operating system so as to replace some or all of the functions of physical frames. It reduces the widths of the front physical frames which assist user holding in the traditional tablet PC design or removes same so as to allow the placement of a bigger display screen for display and interaction under the premise of unchanged size of the device, and at the same time realizes virtual frames in the operating system of the tablet PC and displays same through the display screen so as to replace the functions of the physical frames of assisting user holding and avoiding mistaken interaction, and can realize more assistant functions; and at the same time, the operating system allows the user or an application to which it belongs to voluntarily control the removal of the virtual frames in any direction or to reduce the area of the virtual frames in any direction while running, so as to realize the purpose of efficiently utilizing the front area of the tablet PC.
