PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device in which light utilization efficiency is enhanced at a low cost.

SOLUTION: The light source device 2200a comprises: a light source 10 having a plane emission laser array 10a; a transmission section CGa (passing section) for transmitting (passing) a part of a plurality of light fluxes emitted from the light source 10; a separation optical element 12 (optical element) arranged adjacent to the transmission section CGa and having a reflection mirror RM (reflection section) for reflecting the remaining of the plurality of the light fluxes to a direction different from a direction returning to the light source 10; and a photo diode PD (light receiving element) for receiving the reflected light fluxes from the reflection mirror RM. Thus, the light utilization efficiency is enhanced at a low cost.
