<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect a serial interface compatible with an external device on the basis of a signal level of a predetermined input/output terminal connected to the external device. <P>SOLUTION: A serial interface device for connecting a serial interface compatible with an external device on the basis of a signal acquired from the input/output terminal connected to the external device comprises: a separable pull-down circuit connected to the input/output terminal; pull-down control means for controlling the connection or separation of the pull-down circuit; signal level detection means for detecting a signal level of the input/output terminal when the pull-down control means connects the pull-down circuit; and switching means for switching to the serial interface compatible with the external device in response to the detection result of the signal level detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
