<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a connection device which prevents the destruction of spacers and thereby inhibiting the occurence of an accident and inhibits the accident from affecting a gas insulation opening/closing apparatus when the accident occurs. <P>SOLUTION: A connection device 3 connects a gas insulation opening/closing apparatus 1 with a transformer 2 and includes: a first tank 4 forming a first intermediate chamber 5 located adjacent to the gas insulation opening/closing apparatus; a second tank 6 forming a second intermediate chamber 7 located between the first intermediate chamber and the transformer; a first spacer 11 separating the gas insulation opening/closing apparatus from the first intermediate chamber; a second spacer 12 separating the first intermediate chamber from the second intermediate chamber; a third spacer 13 separating the second intermediate chamber from the transformer; and tank inner conductors 8, 14 which are provided in the first tank and the second tank and penetrate through the first to third spacers to electrically connect a conductor of the gas insulation opening/closing apparatus with a conductor of the transformer.
