<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder device with a booster mechanism which can be made compact. <P>SOLUTION: An output rod (2) is vertically movably inserted to a housing (1). A first piston (21) inserted into an upper part of the housing (1) is connected to the output rod (2) and a second piston (22) inserted into a lower part is vertically movably fit onto the output rod (2). A lock chamber (25) is arranged between the first piston (21) and the second piston (22). A first release chamber (31) is arranged on the upper side of the first piston (21) and a second release chamber (32) is arranged on the lower side of the second piston (22). Pressure fluid is supplied and discharged to and from respective chambers (25, 31, 32). An engagement ball (40) of a booster mechanism (36) blocks the movement of the second piston (22) to the lower side and can be switched between such a state so as to move the output rod (2) and the first piston (21) to the upper side and such a state so as to move the second piston (22) to the lower side and subject the output rod (2) to a booster drive. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
