<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently improve medium loading performance in a medium loading part, and to prevent alignment deterioration of the medium. <P>SOLUTION: A medium loading apparatus includes: the medium loading part on which the medium is loaded; discharge members for discharging the medium to the medium loading part; and a pressing member disposed downstream of the discharge members in the medium conveying direction in such a manner that it may freely swing about a rotating axis 24a. The plurality of pressing members are provided in a direction nearly vertical to the medium conveying direction. The pressing members are configured to be independently swingable about the rotating axis, then, press down the medium toward the medium loading part by gravity. Since the pressing members are disposed downstream of the discharge members in the medium conveying direction in such a manner that they may freely swing about the rotating axis 24a, the medium is prevented from entering under the preceding medium or pushing the medium from behind. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
