A transmission device connected to a network constituted of a plurality of relay stations includes a transmission section configured to transmit a signal to the network, and a bandwidth control section configured to control a transmission bandwidth of the transmission section based on a lowest transmission bandwidth among transmission bandwidths between the relay stations.
