The hydraulic valve comprises an input port (2), an output port (3), a valve housing (1) having an axially displaceable valve (4), and a spring chamber (5) mounted with a spring element (6) through which the valve is axially loaded with a pressure force. The output port of the valve housing is comprised of an axial bore and/or two axially spaced radial bores (3.2,3.3), for relieving the spring chamber. The axially spaced radial bores are connected to a longitudinal groove (7) formed along the outer circumference of the valve housing. An independent claim is included for a fuel injection system.
