POLYMERIZABLE HYALURONIC ACID DERIVATIVE, HYALURONIC ACID HYDROGEL CONTAINING POLYMER OF THE SAME, AND CONTACT LENS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new polymerizable hyaluronic acid derivative which is synthesized by a short-time synthesis reaction, hyaluronic acid hydrogel containing a polymer of the same, and a contact lens.

SOLUTION: The polymerizable hyaluronic acid derivative has an optionally substituted (meth)acrylic acid alkylisocyanate or (meth)acrylic acid alkyloxyalkylisocyanate forming a urethane linkage with the primary hydroxy group of hyaluronic acid. The hyaluronic acid hydrogel contains the polymer of the polymerizable hyaluronic acid derivative. The contact lens contains the copolymer of the polymerizable hyaluronic acid derivative and a polymerizable monomer copolymerizable with the polymerizable hyaluronic acid derivative.
