<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source module capable of enhancing coupling efficiency from a light source to a light guide plate without accompanying processing to the light guide plate and reducing the luminance unevenness of the light guide plate, and a display device having the same. <P>SOLUTION: A backlight 10 is provided with a light-emitting part 23c, an optical coupling member 30 having a light incident face 33a to make light incident from the light-emitting part 23c, a curved face 32a to reflect and propagate the incident light, and a top flat surface 31 which is in contact with a light guide plate 13 at the upper part of the curved face 32a, the light guide plate 13, and a plurality of optical sheets.
